Positivity level in Bengaluru dropped to 5.9%, which is 6.51% lower than that of the State
The strength of the third wave continued to decline, with new COVID-19 charges falling below 10,000. The State on Sunday reported 8,425 new cases, while Bengaluru Urban numbered 3,822. All other districts have recorded less than 1,000 new cases. With this, the positivity rate in Karnataka has dropped to 6.51%. There are currently 97,781 cases. On Twitter, Minister of Health and Family Welfare K. Sudhakar said Bengaluru’s TPR was 5.9%, lower than that of the State.
Forty-seven people have been infected with the virus across the Province, including 17 from Bengaluru Urban, one of whom was a one-year-old girl. The three-month-old baby girl from Ballari was also defeated by COVID-19. Ballari reported seven deaths followed by Dakshina Kannada five. As a result, the death toll across the State has risen to 39,347. According to a report released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the mortality rate was 0.55%.
About 19,800 37,58,997 were found. More than 1.29 lakh tests were performed involving 99,023 RT-PCR tests.
