Chasing 190, India got off to a very bad start as Joshua Boyden outscored Angkrish Raghuvanshi (0) with a third innings. Harnoor Singh and Shaik Rasheed had joined the crease and the two put up 49 runs for the second wicket. As soon as India gained momentum, England invaded and returned to the tournament with an 18th over as Thomas Aspinwall outscored Harnoor (21), dropping India to 49/2.
Captain Yash Dhull next joined Rasheed in the middle and both batsmen put together a 46-run partnership that saw Rasheed (50) pass in his 50 runs. However, when he reached the summit, he eventually handed over his wicket to James Sales. In his next over, Sales took the top of Dhull (17), while India was reduced to 97/4, still needing 93 runs to win.
Raj Bawa (35) and Nishant Sindhu (50 n.o.) then ensured that India does not lose wickets in the group. In the end, India registered for four wickets to lift the U19 World Cup for the fifth time.
