London: In an important intervention, Queen Elizabeth II said the Duchess of Cornwall would be Queen when Prince Charles became King.
Queen Elizabeth II used her national message for the Platinum Jubilee on Saturday to support Camilla, building the future of the empire.
The Queen expressed her “sincere desire” for Camilla to be known as Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King.
When he reaches his 70th year on the throne, Elizabeth II , has set her sights on her daughter-in-law, a former royal queen who will now be named Queen and crowned on Charles’ side.
The Queen, 95, said in a text message: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of you for your support.
“And when, at the end of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know he will give him and his wife Camilla the same support you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as the Queen Consort as she continues her faithful work, ”she said.
