India Reports 16,051 Cases In Last 24 Hrs, Daily Positivity Rate At 1.93%

New Delhi: India re-registered Covid case cuts as the country recorded 16,051 new cases in the last 24 hours. A total of 206 people were infected on Sunday and the daily rate stands at 1.93%.

With the daily decline of Covid cases, many provinces have lifted Covid restrictions and with the reopening of schools and colleges across the country, the situation has returned to normal.

With the addition of new diseases, the current national population stands at 2,02,131.

The good daily rate now stands at 1.93%.

Delhi

Delhi reported 570 new cases of coronavirus and four deaths while the positive rate stood at 1.04 percent, according to data provided by the health department on Sunday.

Of the 570 cases, 92 of which were reported last week were added to the ICMR portal on Saturday, according to a PTI report.

The number of tests performed the previous day stood at 54,614, and 730 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, the report said in the evening.

The case against the capital has grown to 18,56,071, and the death toll is 26,101, it said.

Delhi on Saturday reported 635 cases of COVID-19 and two deaths, with a positivity rate of 1.13 percent.

The daily number of cases in Delhi dropped after touching a record high of 28,867 13 in January.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra on Sunday reported 1,437 new cases of COVID-19 and six deaths from the virus, which took the state figure to 78,58,431 and the figure to 1,43,582, according to the country’s health ministry.

The eviction of 3,375 people during the day brought the recovery rate in Maharashtra to 76,94,439, which is 97.91 percent of the case, leaving the state with 16,422 active cases, he said.

With 1,02,856 samples tested on Sunday, the number of tests in Maharashtra rose to 7,72 32,001, according to the health department’s media.

According to the country’s health department, Mumbai reported 167 cases and no deaths due to COVID-19, which increased the number to 10,54,643 and kept the number to 16,687.
