Calling it a great education, head coach Kanitkar praised Dhull for leading the team to victory.
“I think we learned a lot from this. We were looking forward to hitting with us. It was a bit humid.
“(Dhull) has led them very well. He has a very good head on his shoulders. I think it is a great competition, to make this class play in this category, in all teams. It is a great opportunity to showcase talent and players. Institutions of higher learning around the world,” said Kanitkar.
The England captain, Tom Perst, said his team was definitely looking for a better start than the one we got.
“Choosing to hit first, we would like to start better, but the way James Rew hit to get his 95, he deserved a hundred. We got to the point where we thought we were in the game and hit it,” said Perst.
“We had a strong throwing attack and taking the wicket in the first over boosted the air and boosted our confidence. They (India) did very well. They had a few partnerships, so commendation to them.”
