Kolkata Thunderbolts captain Ashwal says Dhoni, Hardik and Rahul could be good volleyball players

Ahead of the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Kolkata Thunderbolts captain Ashwal Rai spoke of his expectations for the tournament. Kolkata Thunderbolts will launch its PVL campaign from Monday next week.

“I think M.S. Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and K.L. Rahul will make excellent volleyball players. Doni and Pandya can pass and Rahul can attack.

“There is a video of them playing sea volleyball in Dubai, we would feel good if we had the opportunity to play with them,” said Ashwal.

The Prime Volleyball League kicks off on February 5 and the tournament is scheduled to take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium where the Hyderabad Black Hawks and Kochi Blue Spikers will take on the opening match. The final will be played on February 27.

The tournament will feature 24 games spread over a 23-day period.

Each of the seven franchises – Calicut Heroes, Kochi Blue Spikers, Ahmedabad Defenders, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Chennai Blitz, Bengaluru Torpedoes, and Kolkata Thunderbolts – will play one round before four teams the top of the league in the semi-finals. -final.

“For all the players, this is the right kind of stadium to show off their skills and performance.

“Before I used to be a big fan of sports and then I grew up following cricket and football. There is no particular athlete I look up to. I just strive to do well every time I go out to play, ”said Ashwal.
